3 arrested in brawl, 1 claims Crips membership

YONKERS - Two brothers, one of whom told police he was a member of the Crips street gang, and a teen with brass knuckles were arrested early yesterday after Yonkers police broke up a street fight.

Police said Juan Garcia, 18, his brother, Angel Garcia, 20, and Robert Rodriguez, 17, all of Yonkers, were drinking together at 2:55 a.m. yesterday on Yonkers Avenue when they began to fight.
Officers on patrol spotted and broke up the fight.
Juan Garcia of 123 Crescent Place suffered a fractured nose and cuts to his face, arms and legs. He was treated at a local hospital.
As police arrested Angel Garcia of 15 Hillview Ave., they noticed tattoos that read "Gangsta" and "Doob." Angel Garcia told police he was a member of the Crips gang, they said. He was charged with third-degree assault, a misdemeanor.
Rodriguez of 205 S. Waverly St. was charged with third-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, both misdemeanors.
All three also were charged with disorderly conduct, a violation.
