"Wizards of Waverly Place" star Selena Gomez is set to visit her hometown in Dallas to make a guest appearance in the 21st annual Capital One Bank Adolphus Children's Parade to benefit the Children's Medical Center.
The Parade, an award-winning annual holiday tradition for hundreds of thousands of families, will be taking place in downtown Dallas on December 5.
The 17-year-old Disney princess will join Miss America, Strawberry Shortcake, and Spider-Man at the Parade. More than 10 giant inflatables, high-stepping marching bands, and decorated floats will be gracing Dallas' city streets. Dozens of past patients of the Children's Medical Center will also ride in the Parade.
Gomez, who grew up in Grand Prairie in Dallas, said, "It's always great to come home and visit family and friends, but coming home to be a part of the Capital One Bank Adolphus Children's Parade makes my visit extra special."
