Law firm Wolfram & Hart doesn't exactly cater to the stars of Los Angeles. It's more the law firm for the underworld -- specializing in representing evil at all levels and having a hand in everything from illegal demon fighting to drug-dealing demon gangs. Now, this doesn't account for specialized services offered to the firm’s high-profile clients. If you have the mullah, these lawyers have the time to help you murder, steal -- any activity your evil little heart desires.
This isn't your typical "practicing evil-to-get rich" law firm. Wolfram & Hart is not without direction or goals. At the core of the firm is a plan. Accepting only complete secrecy and devotion in its employees, the firm resorts to random mind readings to assure complete loyalty and deals quickly and swiftly with those who go wayward. With the promise of power and money, young executives like Lindsey and Lilah are recruited to continue the firm’s mission. Lindsey, who managed to go against the firm and survive, is the most promising executive, already achieving junior partner status. Because Angel has ruined more than one of Lindsey's cases, the hatred between them has grown as well as Wolfram & Hart's desire to get rid of Angel. As for Lilah, she has served as Lindsey's rival in the firm as well as co-conspirator in the goal to assassinate Angel. Prophecy binds Angel and Wolfram & Hart. The goal of Wolfram & Hart is to kill Angel so that the firm can continue on its peaceful, evil way to taking over the world but until then, these lawyers will keep things very interesting for Angel Investigations, Inc.
Wolfram and Hart, Attorneys at Law is a fictional international and interdimensional law firm in the television series Angel.
"The Wolf, The Ram, and The Hart" is the name of an ancient organization of demons. As told in "Shells," the group is relatively weak when it is founded, barely stronger than "the vampire". Over time, they gain power and influence, eventually leaving this dimension altogether. From this point onward they enact their will through various puppet organizations; one of the groups they command on Earth is the law firm of Wolfram and Hart.

In 2004 ("Harm's Way"), the firm has ties with Yoyodyne, Weyland-Yutani, and News Corp, and has a plethora of employees ranging from lawyers and accountants to sorcerers, demons, and assassins. Their clientele is equally varied, including figures of organized crime and captains of industry, as well as demons and vampires. The firm has offices in Los Angeles, New York City, Tokyo, London, Paris, Rome, Cairo, and many other major cities around the world. W&H also has "satellite offices" in areas of conflict such as the Balkans, seemingly contributing to the continuation of violence and hatred in these areas.
When the characters of Angel visit Pylea in "Through the Looking Glass," they discover that that world, or at least the village they visit, is run by minions of "The Wolf, The Ram, and The Hart," revealing that Wolfram and Hart is a major player across multiple dimensions, not just Earth's.
As described in "Hell Bound," the Los Angeles branch of Wolfram and Hart is founded in 1791 over holy ground de-consecrated through a ritual employing the blood of serial murderer Matthias Pavayne, who is able to survive as a spirit in the building for over 200 years. The branch is notable because it operates in the same city as Angel, who becomes the focus of many W&H projects.
In "Habeas Corpses," the Los Angeles branch of Wolfram and Hart is destroyed by The Beast. In "Home," Angel is offered stewardship of the newly-rebuilt branch as a reward for preventing world peace in "Peace Out." Angel accepts, on one condition: in exchange, Wolfram and Hart agrees to alter his son's memories and place him with a loving family. The remaining members of Angel Investigations also join Wolfram and Hart, assuming control of various departments.
Angel struggles with the moral ambiguities of his position as branch manager - in order to maintain his position, he must keep the branch profitable, stated in "Conviction." This means Angel must keep his clients - many of them evil - happy. Although it is clear that the Wolfram and Hart and the Senior Partners cannot be completely destroyed, Angel and his team do manage to thwart them at times, hoping to forestall the final Apocalypse that Wolfram and Hart seeks to bring about. In "Not Fade Away," Angel and the others disrupt the Partners' plans by killing all of the members of the Circle of the Black Thorn - the Partners' major representatives on Earth - effectively destroying their influence and setting their plans back centuries, or perhaps even longer. As a consequence, the Senior Partners dispatch an army of demons to destroy Angel and his allies.Operations
In addition to the many legal functions the firm performs, Wolfram and Hart also maintains a Special Projects division. In the Los Angeles branch, Special Projects devotes a considerable amount of attention to Angel. Prophecies indicate that Angel is destined to play a key role in the Apocalypse, but it is not known which side he will take. The Special Projects division is committed to ensuring Angel will be on their side when the time comes.
"Reprise" describes Wolfram and Hart's regular "Review," an event that occurs every 75 years. During the Review, a Senior Partner takes corporeal form to punish employees who have shown unfavorable performance. Known punishments handed out include forcing the employee to eat his or her own liver, and taking an employee's children. The Senior Partners have also permitted employees to execute and replace their superiors in light of poor performance, as seen in "Deep Down."White Room
Within the Wolfram and Hart solicitor's building, one can enter 'The White Room'. This is an interdimensional space that serves as a "Conduit" to the Senior Partners - It is the most direct line to them, but it requires speaking through an intermediary. The 'Room' is accessed by pressing a certain sequence of buttons on an elevator panel. If conditions are met, the elevator doors open and a blinding light transports the occupants to the White Room. When it is first seen, the room is occupied only by a small girl, who is later revealed out to be Mesektet, the most malevolent member of a 'family' of mystic beings. The girl offers a brief history on the demon Sahjhan when Angel comes looking for him in "Forgiving." When Wolfram & Hart falls under siege by The Beast in "Habeas Corpses," Angel and his group find their only refuge in the White Room; they arrive just in time to see The Beast draining the dark energies from Mesektet, killing her. Using her final energies, she transports the group back to the Hyperion Hotel before The Beast can turn his attention to them.
In "Home," the White Room is revisited when Charles Gunn is sent there. To his surprise, he is greeted by a panther. During his tenure with Wolfram and Hart, Gunn makes frequent use of the Conduit when he has exhausted all other leads. When the entire building is locked down in "Destiny," Gunn tries to enter the White Room, but the elevator opens to reveal only a howling black hole of nothingness. The final time Gunn visits is during "A Hole in the World," when he comes in desperate search of a way to save Winifred Burkle's life. Instead of the panther, he encounters a mirror image of himself, who viciously beats him for his insolence. Notable attorneys
