THE CHOCOLATIER'S APPRENTICE

Description: Purdy's Chocolates, in partnership with Ivanhoe Cambridge, have set a goal to raise $80,000 for Can-West's Raise-A-Reader program from sales of a children's book entitled 'The Chocolatier's Apprentice'.

The 'Chocolatier's Apprentice' will be on sale for $5.00 plus GST at all 50 Purdy's stores and at the Customer Service Station at Guildford Town Centre. All of the funds raised from sales of 'The Chocolatier's Apprentice' will remain in the markets where the dollars were raised so customers can be reassured their support will benefit those close to home.

Ivanhoe Cambridge in collaboration with Purdy's is proud to present 'The Chocolatour', a travelling exhibit showcasing the history of chocolate - visiting 11 Ivanhoe Cambridge properties throughout 2007. The exhibit, designed and built by Calgary business Studio Y, is based on the book 'The True History of Chocolate'. The exhibit is educational and goes through the history of chocolate from the earliest years to today.
