SPOT IN FRIDAY’S SEMI-FINAL ON THE LINE AS CANADA FACES FINLAND

PARDUBICE, Czech Republic – For the first time since 2002, Canada will play in a quarterfinal at the IIHF World Junior Championship, and Finland will provide the opposition. Canada will look to become the first team since Russia in 1999 to win a game after having to play in a quarterfinal, but will first have to get past the Finns, who have lost five in a row to Canada at the World Juniors.
