Facebook Request Fatigue? Ignore Them All!
Feb 02, 2008 23:36:21

facebook-ignore-all.pngIf you’re completely spent from Facebook overload, and are tired of all those requests you get for joining groups, adding applications and attending events in cities you don’t even live in, you’ll rejoice at the addition of a new option called “Ignore all requests.”

I’m particularly happy about this option not only because of the sheer volume of requests I get, but because of the convenience it offers. As Web Community Forums noted, the addition of this “Ignore all requests” options means you have more than one way with which to avoid being social on a social network, along with the Ignore All Application requests bookmarklet.

So when making your decision about which one of these options to use, you’ll have to think really hard: do you want to just ignore the app requests and still get invited to join groups and attend events, etc.? Or would you rater just forget the whole thing and say “screw them all!!” I have a tendency to take the lazy way out when presented with such options, however, so I think I won’t be using this “ignore” option too often, so as to be sure that I don’t accidentally overlook a request that is of great importance to me.
