Rush and Molloy reported that songstress Ashanti could possibly be leaving The Inc., and linking up with G-Unit, but according to Ashanti’s camp, “this is not true.”
VIBE reached out to Universal records, which confirmed the rumors were false and that the 27-year-old singer will remain with The Inc. Records/Universal Motown.
The singer was reportedly upset over The Inc.’s head Irv Gotti, not coming to her defense after rumors of the two having a sexual relationship.
“And now 50 Cent is trying to get her to be a part of G-Unit,” an anonymous source told the Daily News. The source also added that 50 Cent- who has made unflattering remarks about Ashanti in the past during his tirade on The Inc.’s lone star Ja Rule- called and apologized to Ashanti for all his verbal jabs.
