Grey's Anatomy, with Katherine Heigl, is the next big hit
Grey's Anatomy is the next big hit - The Laf - A&E: "The show thrives on its varied assortment of characters in the frenetic hospital environment. The main character, Meredith (Ellen Pompeo), is an intern who is also the daughter of a noted pioneer surgeon. Cristina Yang (Sandra Oh) is the highly competitive intern who avoids any favors whatsoever in order to succeed on her own. 'Izzie' Stevens (Katherine Heigl) paid her way through medical school by modeling, but her 'airhead' personality reflects her low self-esteem in all her tasks. George O'Malley (T.R. Knight) is the intern who 'always manages to say the wrong thing at the wrong time.' The intern all the other interns 'love to hate' because of his arrogance is Alex Karey (Justin Chambers). Miranda Bailey (Chandra Wilson), nicknamed 'The Nazi,' is the doctor in charge of 'whipping these interns into shape.' This is exactly what she plans on doing, and her personality is bitter and cruel to the point of being amusing. Derek Shephard (Patrick Dempsey) is the attractive, flirtatious surgeon with a forbidden attraction to Meredith.Â
