Introduction to Bimini

Bimini is made up of three major islands -- North, South and East Bimini . Most of the islands’ population, about 1,600 residents, live in Bailey Town in North Bimini, while the main tourist center is in Alice Town, also on North Bimini. Most of the hotels, restaurants and fishing operations can also be found here.
It is believed that this tiny island community was once part of the road system of the Lost Continent of Atlantis. But today Bimini is known as the big game-fishing capital of the world and is also where Ernest Hemingway lived from 1935 to 1937. http://www.bahamas.com/bahamas/island/
