City of Netanya Approves Name Change

A municipal committee approved a request by Chabad-Lubavitch of Netanya to change the name of its frontage road from Max Nordao Street to The Lubavitcher Rebbe Street.
The majority decision reflects the growing visibility of the Chabad House.
Directed by Rabbi Menachem Volpo since 1973, it operates a synagogue in the coastal Israeli city, as well as a mikvah, adult, youth and women’s study groups, and a hospital visitation program.
More than 5,000 children attended its Lag B’Omer rally last week. …
