missing dog
Feb 13, 2007 01:02:12
NEW YORK The next Westminster Kennel Club dog show starts Monday at New York's Madison Square Garden.
There will be more than 26-hundred entrants. But chances are no dog will attract more attention than Vivi, the whippet that broke free from a travel cage at Kennedy airport last year and is still being sought.
The tips keep trickling in. There even was a supposed sighting of Vivi a few days ago near a picnic area, and a bunch of searchers rushed into the frigid night to look for the dog. Before they got there, the dog ran down a path and disappeared.
Owner Jil Walton says the worst part is not knowing what happened to Vivi, who won an Award of Merit last year.
