A Northwestern Ontario community is taking some bold steps to develop its own environmental strategy.
With the environment front and centre right now on the political scene, Sioux Lookout town council members are forging ahead in the coming months to establish a green plan for the town.

Poling says a committee will soon be named that will include members of the community. Pesticides, idling bylaws and sustainable forest management are just some of the issues that will be studied.
