12 Taliban killed in Helmand, Afghanistan

Afghanistan, Kabul, Jan. 14 / Trend News , A. Hakimi / Security officials said 12 Taliban militiamen were killed in Greshk district of Helmand province, Afghanistan.
Mohiuddin Ghori commander of the 3rd brigade of the 205th Atal corps told reporters that the operations were carried out in Opashak and Spin Jumaat areas of the district.
He added that Afghan National Army (ANA) and National Police backed by coalition forces resulted heavy losses to Taliban.
Afghan forces and coalition forces did not receive any losses in the operations, Ghori claimed.
According to the people in the region, civilian homes also received some shots but luckily with no casualties.
On the other hand Qari Yousuf Ahmadi a spokesman for Taliban confirmed the fighting and denied any Taliban casualties.
Taliban spokesperson, Ahmadi claimed destroying two military vehicles and killed about 13 soldiers.
