Melbourne (ANI): Aussie model/actress Megan Gale has revealed that after her first apprehensive venture into the world of acting, she now just can’t get enough of it.

Gale, 33, who took stage lessons and landed roles in dodgy Carry-On style Italian films, says that she is now able to get the hang of it. She has just finished filming in Melbourne for the Peter Helliar-written romantic comedy I Love You [^] Too, in which she plays an Italian model with whom a letter-writing dwarf falls in love.

“Because acting was so new to me, I was a bit apprehensive before I started,” the Daily Telegraph quoted her as telling Confidential. “But as soon as I got on to the set I knew this was something I Wanted [^] to pursue and I definitely have a passion for and could quite happily do every day. I have been having an absolute blast and am definitely addicted now,” she added.

Megan Gale was born in Perth, Western Australia, Gale is of half-British, half-Polynesian heritage and is the youngest of three children, one of them being an older brother.

She was also retained by the Australian Tourist Commission in 2003 as ‘their face of Australia in Italy’.

Gale has modeled for Italian fashion houses such as Genny and favors many Australian designers, such as Akira Isogawa, Sass & Bide, and Alex Perry. Recently she was the fashion commentator for the Australian television awards, the Logies. She was the face of the upmarket Australian department store David Jones. Gale’s appearances on the catwalk in the famous annual fashion parades are extremely popular and she has helped to raise David Jones’s profile to the younger market and trendy fashion designers.

In January 2008, Gale announced her retirement from catwalk modeling after 15 years and strutted down the catwalk for the last time just weeks later at a David Jones winter collection launch in Sydney. She has since been replaced by Victoria’s Secret Angel Miranda Kerr.

Megan Gale also tried her hand at acting and appeared in the movies Vacanze di Natale and Stregata Dalla Luna. She also won a cameo part in the 2005 movie Stealth where she played a role as Dr. Orbit’s secretary. In January 2008, it was announced that she had been offered the part of Wonder Woman in the upcoming George Miller movie version of Justice League of America.

In 2005, Gale became a guest reporter for Nine Network travel show Getaway from October 2005 to June 2006. She also worked with Mike Munro as co-host of the nine-episode Australian documentary TV show What a Year, which first aired on the Nine Network on October 2, 2006. In 2007, they were replaced by Bert Newton and Julia Zemiro and the show has since been axed.

Reports suggested that Gale would take over hosting duties of the television series, Australia’s Next Top Model in 2009. However the position has since been filled by Sara Murdoch. Gale also became the National Ambassador for Kids Help Line in February 2005.

What Happened to Megan Gail as Wonder Woman?

Aussie Model Megan Gale was supposed to play in the Live Action Wonder Woman Movie that was supposdily due out in 2009

The Justice League live action movie is off and that Warner Brothers is now planning to take a similar route as Marvel Studios when it comes to producing Superhero movies. So George Miller is off Justice League and Australian model turned actress Megan Gale will not be playing Wonder Woman after all.

There’s news that producer Leonard Goldberg, who is working alongside Joel Silver. is waiting for a new script they can use for Wonder Woman: The Movie. Goldberg describes himself as being “old school” and that he wants to get a completed new script first that can be presented to directors and see who among them has a take on it that blows then away. The Wachowski brothers, who thought they might have an idea on how to do Wonder Woman ,ended up working on other projects and never followed through. Joel Silver bought a spec script from Matthew Jennison and Matt Strickland, whose setting was World War 2, decided to hire these same two writers to write a new script set in the present and featuring the origin of Wonder Woman.

But Goldberg said unlike the spec script, they are not going to use the same plot for the rewritten version (that Steve Trevor crashes on the island and Diana saves him from being executed by the Amazons), but will use a plot we have seen (with the Origin intact). They plan to cast an unknown as Wonder Woman, firmly believing it’s the character and not a particular actress that will draw in the public. When all of this is supposed to happen is anyone’s guess, but maybe there’s some solace in the fact that we have the Wonder Woman Animated Movie
