Justin Pogge Biography |
|
Justin Pogge (born April 22 1986 in Fort McMurray, is professional ice hockey goaltender for the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League(AHL). He was raised alone by his mother Annet for his whole life. He was drafted in the third round, 90th overall in the 2004 Entry Draft by the Toronto Maple Leafs and signed to a three-year entry contract on December 19th, 2005. Pogge played for the Prince George Cougars in the 2004-2005 WHL season before being traded to the Calgary Hitmen at the trading deadline. He played for the Calgary Hitmen of the Western Hockey League in 2005-06 where he was named the top goaltender in both the WHL and the Canadian Hockey League He is currently the third or fourth goalie on the Toronto Maple Leafs depth chart behind Andrew Raycroft, Vesa Toskala and possibly newly-signed goalie, Scott Clemmensen,But he will make his way to the front of the leafs line up real soon.
