Rebecca Romijn was born on November 6, 1972 in Berkeley, California. she is the daughter of a custom furniture maker, Jaap Romijn, and an English teacher-textbook author, Elizabeth Kuizenga. Rebecca Romijn is of Dutch ancestry. Rebecca Romijn studied music, particularly voice lessons, at the University of California in Santa Cruz, where She got involved with modeling. Rebecca Romijn eventually moved to Paris and stayed there for two years. Rebecca Romijn is fluent in French, Dutch and English.

Rebecca Romijn has posed for Victoria’s Secret and in a swimsuit issue of Sports Illustrated. IN 1998 to 2000, she became an MTV host for the show, “House of Style”. Rebecca Romijn is a common name in annual lists of most beautiful women by several publications including AskMen.com (2001 to 2003 & 2005 to 2006), FHM (2000 to 2005) and Maxim (2003 to 2007).

Aside from modeling, Rebecca Romijn appeared in small roles in big films like “Austin Powers The Spy Who Shagged Me” in 1999. However, her first major film role was Mystique in the 2000 movie, “X-Men”. she returned in 2003 for the sequel, “X2 X-Men United” and again in 2006 for the third part, “X-Men The Last Stand”. Through these three films, Rebecca Romijn was covered in blue makeup and prosthetics that covers up her entire nude body.

Rebecca Romijn has her first leading role in the 2002 Brian De Palma movie, “Femme Fatale”. she also starred in several films, including “S1mone”, “Godsend”, “The Punisher” and “Rollerball”. She also received a lead role in the short-lived television series, “Pepper Dennis”, which highlighted Rebecca’s talents in singing, comedy, drama and modeling.

In January 2007, Rebecca Romijn appeared in ABC’s comedy series, “Ugly Betty”. she portrayed a male-to-female transsexual named Alexis Meade. She became a regular cast, playing the sibling of the lead character, Daniel.

Rebecca Romijn’s recent movies include “Man About Town” and “The Alibi”, which were both launched in 2006. There have been talks that Rebecca Romijn will be portraying Mystique in another X-Men film sometime in 2009.

On September 19, 1998, Rebecca Romijn married actor John Stamos. Throughout her marriage, Rebecca used the name Rebecca Romijn-Stamos in her career and personal life. In 2004, the couple announced their separation, which ended in divorce on March 1, 2005. Since then, she has been using her birth name. On July 14, 2007, actor Jerry O’Connell married Rebecca Romijn in Ojai, California.
