Born in Havana, Cuba, on March 19, 1974, Vida Guerra moved with her family to New Jersey when she was 6 years old. Outgoing, even at that young age, Vida Guerra quickly adapted to the new country and culture. She developed into a bright, beautiful young woman and began getting involved in dance and some modeling, strutting around in a G-string when she was 18 for a fashion show in her hometown of Perth Amboy.

Vida Guerra's first taste of fame came after successfully auditioning for a Big Pun video called "New York to New Orleans." She sat next to the now deceased rapper and grooved to the beat throughout the song which, unfortunately, did not get much play on TV music stations.

Following this slight exposure, Vida Guerra returned to her normal life. She took a job as a loans officer, but still kept her eye out for modeling opportunities whenever they came. After browsing through an FHM magazine, a close (and very wise) friend suggested she send in pictures of herself. With nothing to lose, Vida Guerra did just that.
Upon receiving Vida Guerra's photos, FHM felt they fit in perfectly with a recent search for "everyday" babes in lingerie. The pictures were posted in the December 2002 issue of the magazine and though they were very hot, Guerra thought nothing more of it. That is, of course, until readers bombarded FHM with letters demanding more of the hot New Jersey babe with the huge booty.

Overwhelmed with the response, the magazine called Vida Guerra back and asked her to officially pose for them. Jumping at the opportunity, Vida Guerra agreed and was featured very scantily clad in both the March and May 2003 issues. Now that her face (and behind) were out there, people began to take notice. The St. Louis rap group, Naturally Smooth, even asked her to pose for its album cover.

Following this magazine work, Vida Guerra was recruited to dance on Dave Chappelle's comedy show, appropriately called Chappelle's Show on Comedy Central. Her big booty also made Vida Guerra a perfect fit in P. Diddy, Nelly and Murphy Lee's "Shake Ya Tailfeather" video, which was a popular rap hit in the summer of 2003.
She was honored at the end of 2003 with FHM's "Rear of the Year" award and was then cast as a muse in the comedy short Writer's Block.

Now a recognized model, Vida Guerra grabbed more headlines after appearing with tight end Jeremy Shockey of the New York Giants at the opening of Jay-Z's New York nightclub. The relationship -- if one could even call it that -- did not last long, but Vida Guerra did not need to rely on a boyfriend to make the news.
She continued to be a hot commodity with her sexy calendar for troops serving in the Middle East (and one for FHM).

Career
Guerra's first national exposure came when she appeared in a lingerie spread for FHM in December 2002. The magazine later reported that following its publication, almost one-third of their mail was from readers demanding more photos of her. She was called back for more photo shoots and became "FHM's Model of the Year" in 2004.[2] Since then, she has been featured in many magazines, including DUB, Smooth, Escape, and Open Your Eyes, often as the "cover girl". Guerra has made multiple appearances on several Spanish language television programs such as El Gordo y la Flaca (The Fat Man and the Thin Woman). She has also become a staple in music videos, appearing in "Shake Ya Tailfeather" (Nelly, P. Diddy and Murphy Lee, from the Bad Boys II soundtrack, 2003) and "The New Workout Plan" (Kanye West, 2004), in "Obsession (No Es Amor)" (Frankie J featuring Baby Bash, 2005) among others. In addition, Guerra has appeared in a commercial for Burger King's TenderCrisp Bacon Cheddar Ranch, a couple of sketches on Chappelle's Show (including "R. Kelly's '(I Wanna) Piss on You' Music Video", which spoofed the R. Kelly sex tape), and the film National Lampoon's Dorm Daze 2. She lent her voice to the video game Scarface: The World Is Yours.
In April 2005, Guerra's camera phone was allegedly hacked. Dozens of photos, including nude pictures, were widely disseminated on the Internet. Guerra said the nude images were of another woman, and that they had been mixed with genuine, non-nude camera-phone images of her to create the false appearance that she was the naked woman pictured.[3] However, the head of her record label maintained that the nude photos were of Guerra and that she had deliberately leaked them as a publicity stunt. Guerra was dropped by the label over this incident.[4]

Guerra was voted Number 26 in "F.H.M's Top 100 Sexiest Females" of 2005 and has twice been named the winner of the magazine's "Best Butt Award". She has produced her own swimsuit calendars (and accompanying "behind the scenes" DVDs) and a 2006 DVD titled Vida Guerra: Exposed.
The July 2006 issue of Playboy featured the first formal nude photos of Guerra. Part of her motivation for posing for the magazine, she said, was the camera phone incident; she wanted people to see what she really looked like naked.[3]
The first song from Guerra's debut album, You Got Me, was leaked to the Internet on November 2, 2006.
In 2007 Vida started hosting a speed TV show called Livin' The Low Life.
