she’s topped the charts as part of the Pussycat Dolls, as well as a solo act, and Nicole Scherziner is all about keeping her momentum going.
The “Don’t Cha” singer was spotted on her way to a Los Angeles, California recording studio yesterday looking like she was ready to work.
Sporting a salmon-colored terrycloth tracksuit and a pair of oversized rock star sunglasses, Scherzinger waved to the paparazzi before disappearing into the studio.
And it sounds like Nicole has a few projects up her sleeve, one of which is a collaboration with Unilever brand’s soap Caress.� That’s right, the PCD frontwoman is releasing a Brazilian remake of Duran Duran’s 80s smash “Rio” to help promote the new Caress Brazilian body wash.
In the promo for the soap, Nicole said, “Brazil is all about smooth moves, vivacious sounds and beautiful skin.� That’s why I’m thrilled to be recording such a fun, Brazilian remake of my favorite Duran Duran song for Caress. Just like the new Caress Brazilian body wash, it’s sexy, spirited and will inspire women to unleash the enchantment of Brazil.”

Nicole Scherzinger was born in Honolulu, Hawaii to a Filipino father and a Hawaiian/Russian mother.

Nicole Scherzinger�grew up in Louisville, Kentucky with stepfather Gary Scherzinger, mother Rosemary and sister Ke\'ala. she began her life as a performer in Louisville, attending the Youth Performing Arts School at duPont Manual High School and performing with Actors Theatre of Louisville. Scherzinger majored in theater arts at Wright State University, but put her studies on hold in 1999 to sing backing vocals for the rock band Days of the New.

Nicole Scherzinger, the mind-meld on this slice of corporate music news is enough to short-circuit any brain. Nicole Scherzinger, frontbabe for softcorn burlesquers Pussycat Dolls, is releasing a cover version of Duran Duran's '80s hit "Rio" in conjunction with Unilever's Caress brand of soap, in hopes of giving women good skin and bad music on the way to, as the release explains, "unleashing their Brazilian spirit."

To be clear, Scherzinger isn't Brazilian or really Latina: she's part Filipino, Russian and Hawaiian. And although I have yet to fact-check the whole thing, it seems that no animals may have been harmed in the making of her painful "Rio (Caress Brazilian Mix)."
Nicole Scherzinger: But the same probably cannot be said for the heretofore bulletproof reputation of Brazilian musical legends like Os Mutantes. Here's one of that group's best tunes, "Desculpe, Babe," (translation: "I'm sorry, baby!") to clean your cobwebs. No soap needed.
