Composer, songwriter ("Music, Music, Music!"), educated at the High School of Music & Art. At 13, he was concertmaster of the all-city orchestra and won the Serge Koussevitzky Award and Rohman Award. He served in the US Army in 1948 and joined ASCAP in 1950. His other songs include "Love Me a Little Bit", "Polka Dot Polka", "Strange Hands", "I'll Get Myself a Choo Choo Train", "When Will It Happen to Me?", "The Juke Box Song", and "Pierre, Pierre, Pierre". |
