Mini Biography
Bill Seward is an award-winning member of the staff at KNBC-TV, anchoring the Channel 4 News, with additional appearances on MSNBC, CNBC and Early Today on NBC. In addition to his duties at KNBC, Bill is also on the staff at KFWB, winner of the SCSBA's top honor. Seward can also be seen on the TVG Network, anchoring thoroughbred horse racing coverage. Prior to joining KNBC, Seward spent several years at ESPN, hosting such shows as SportsCenter, ESPNEWS, 2Day at the Races and was a regular contributor to ABC's World News this Morning. A native of Los Angeles, Seward was a sports anchor for KCBS-TV in Los Angeles and for KNX-AM, where he was frequently named one of the Best Sports Anchors by the SCSBA. Seward graduated from Loyola Marymount University and was a high school football coach, working with several future NFL players and earning "Coach of the Year" honors before embarking on a broadcasting career. Bill lives in Los Angeles area with his wife and three children.
Trivia
Seward coached at Notre Dame High School and Saint Bernard High School, working with several future MLB and NFL players, including Cy Young Award Winner Jack McDowell, All-Star shortstop Royce Clayton and All-Pro linebacker Al Smith.
At the age of 23, he was the youngest head football coach in the nation at Saint Bernard High School in Playa del Rey, California, where he was honored as "Bay Area Coach of the Year."
