Composer, songwriter, conductor, saxophonist and arranger. After his high school education, he became a saxophonist in the dance orchestras of Serge Chaloff, Vido Musso, Woody Herman, Herb Pomeroy and Maynard Ferguson. He also taught at the Berklee School of Music, and was the music director at a Boston recording studio. He joined ASCAP in 1958, and his popular-song compositions include "And We Listened".
