Mini Biography
Brett Benson was born in Rhinebeck, New York on the 27th day of May, in the year 1987. He was raised as an only child, changing locations constantly. He lived in Kingston, New York with his mother until he was seven, then moved to Yonkers, New York. He essentially grew up in Yonkers, having lived there from the age of seven until he was thirteen. For almost two of those five years, however, he lived in Rochester, New York with his father. After living in the frozen land of Rochester, Brett moved back to Yonkers, and found himself enjoying a little something the world calls acting. At twelve years of age, he began to take acting classes and getting more and more anxious about his upcoming career. Just when he thought he was comfortable, his life pitched a sudden curve at him, landing him in the seemingly deadly heat of Tampa, Florida. Unbeknown to Brett, this new location would bloom his career like a pink tulip in spring.
Brett settled himself into his new home, constantly searching for new ways to get involved in the film and theatre business. One random day when he was fifteen years old, he was offered an audition for a professional production company and landed it. This company would be the spark which starts his fiery career. He was given the chance to network with a slew of experienced actors and actresses, and started many meaningful friendships.
At seventeen, Brett decided to try his luck in New York and Toronto, moving back to Rochester for his senior year in high school. During his Summer vacation after graduating high school, Brett received a call asking if he wanted to be an extra in an upcoming feature film shot in Rochester. He naturally accepted, trying to further progress his career.
_Cherry Crush (2006)_, the film in which Brett was to be an extra, sparked another interest in him. He realized that as an extra, one is only needed for a few days. He quickly realized this and spoke to a producer, the lovely Kathy Kristich, about volunteering as a Production Assistant.
As it turns out, more P.A.s were in fact needed on set. Brett was immediately put to work, doubling as an extra and a P.A. After a week of 17-hour days and very hard work, Brett was noticed by the Production Team. Yori Tondrowski brought Brett up in a Production meeting, wanting to get him on the payroll for good. Brett got the job and continued to work his best until the film wrapped.
After _Cherry Crush (2006)_, another feature came into Brett's life. Drivers Wanted (2005), a hilarious comedy about pizza delivery drivers, was actually directed, written, and produced by T. Lee Beideck, the Locations Manager on _Cherry Crush (2006)_. Tim liked the way Brett worked, and offered him a volunteer job as a promoter for Drivers Wanted (2005), which would be premiering in Fall 2005.
Brett continued to work as hard as he could, loving every moment of being involved in any aspect of filmmaking. He was promoted to Assistant Promotions Manager for Drivers Wanted (2005), and was scheduled to travel to Syracuse, Phoenix, and Chicago for more promotional work for Drivers Wanted (2005).
Brett still plans to act for the rest of his life, for it is what he loves, as well as what he does best.

Personal Quotes
"Acting's my life, man. It's what makes me happy, brings me fulfillment. I love it. I can't explain it, I just absolutely love it. Supposedly, I'm good at it too. That's a plus, right?"
"Cherry Crush was a blast. I learned so much about what happens behind the camera, simply by watching. Naturally, I was called on to help with a lot of it, but whenever I had a chance I would just sit back and watch the pros. One man I learned the most from was the unforgettable Toni Ponti. What's funny is that most of what I learned from him wasn't even about filmmaking. He taught me about life and growing up, and that's impacted me most. But yeah, Cherry Crush was an amazing learning experience, as an actor and a crew member."
