Chrishell Stause was born and raised Draffenville, Kentucky. She attended Murray State University where she received her B.A. in Theatre. While there she played Cecily in The Importance of Being Earnest, Shelby in Steen Magnolias, Mina in Dracula, Poopay in Communicating Doors, and Isabella in Androcles and the Lion.

In 2005, Stause took on the role of Amanda Dillon on the ABC soap opera All My Children.
