Mini Biography

Daniel Fathers was born in London, UK to British actress Tessa Shaw and scenic designer, George Fathers. He attended Britain's esteemed sports school (Kelly College) on a scholarship for Track and Rugby, where he made the finals of the All England Schools National's in 400M Hurdles and was selected for the final trials of England's, Under 16 rugby team, (although did not attend due to injury, sustained during the trial process).

He received a full scholarship to train as a dancer under Christopher Gable at the Central School of Dance, as well as received voice lessons from Robert Palmer at RADA (Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts) in London, UK.

Whilst learning his craft, he made approximately one hundred commercials on television and radio. He works primarily in Films and TV now, although he was a member of the cast of Mamma Mia! as lead understudy for the roles of Bill Austin and Harry Bright, at the Royal Alexandra Theatre in Toronto and approved to play the roles on Broadway.

Trivia

He played Rugby for Saskatchewan Juniors as well as Mens and also Devon (UK) Under 16's.

Went to the English National's (Track) to run in the 400 M Hurdles at age 16.

Qualified for the Ontario Match play Championship (Golf)

Trained with the Ballet Rambert and Central Shool of Dance.
