Mini Biography
Daymon Gilbert Britton was born in Dudley, Northumberland in December 1977 to parents Dawn and Derek. Following in the footsteps of his uncle, Robson Green, he played various roles in school musicals at Seaton Burn Community High School, before attending North Tyneside College to train in performing arts. His first television appearance was in "Byker Grove" on BBC Television, as a hospital porter, similar to his uncle. In 1997 Daymon landed the role of Sean Hocknell in Sky Televisions' Dream Team. He is currently engaged to his college sweetheart Donna Moran, and together they have one child, Cooper.
Mini Biography
Daymon Britton is associated with two long running television dramas in the UK, Dream Team and Byker Grove.
Born in Dudley, Northumberland in 1977, Daymon's passion for acting was influenced by his visits as a boy to the Live Theatre on the Quayside of Newcastle upon Tyne. At the age of 18 Daymon had his professional debut at that very theatre in The Twelve Tales Of Tyneside.
Portraying the character of Sean Hocknell from 1997-1999 on the Sky 1 drama "Dream Team" (1997) was his introduction to being a television series regular. With a return to the stage in 1999 Daymon garnered rave reviews for his portrayal of Abel Stien in Peter Staughen's play Bones.
With a run of television appearances throughout 2000 and 2001 Daymon returned to the position of series regular in 2002 on the BBC series "Byker Grove" (1989) as the character of Dom.
Daymon can now been seen as Mark in the Ipso Facto Film entitled School for Seduction (2004) which is currently in release in the UK. Daymon was singled out for his performance as Mark and has been billed in the press as "having a promising film career ahead."
With a love for film embedded at an early age, Daymon always had interests in directing. 2004 saw Daymon take the reins of his writing debut Ebony and has gone on to direct and produce the short film with help from F.N.A Films and Northern Film & Media.
