Drea De Matteo is a series regular on HBO's critically acclaimed show, The Sopranos. Her character, Adrianna, plays a very prominent role this season as Christopher's loyal and loving fianc饮
Drea has also been keeping busy appearing in several films:
In March 2002, Drea will be seen in MGM's "Deuces Wild." Produced by Martin Scorcese and directed by Scott Kalvert ("Basketball Diaries") this 1950's gang pic stars a huge ensemble cast including Matt Dillon, Vincent Pastore, Johnny Knoxville, Deborah Harry, Max Perlich, Josh Leonard, Balthazar Getty, Norman Reedus, Fairuza Balk, Brad Renfro and Stephen Dorff.
Drea was featured as Hugh Jackman's alcoholic ex-wife in Warner Brothers' "Swordfish" and just completed a role as Jenny McCarthy's nutty neighbor in the indie film "The Perfect You."
At the 2001 Cannes Film Festival, Drea received phenomenal reviews for her portrayal as a Puerto Rican/American drug lord in Abel Ferrara's latest film "R'Xmas."
If acting wasn't enough, Drea co-owns the ultra hip East Village boutique Filth Mart with her long time boyfriend. They also have their own denim line.
During her downtime Drea always goes back to HB Studios where her mother has taught playwriting for over 25 years. She and her mother, Donna De Matteo, are always developing and looking for new writers and projects as well as working on their own material for the stage of the HB Playwrights Foundation-Drea's "home base."
Drea has a BFA from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts in film production.
