Wingback/tailback/blocking back with the National Football League's Akron Pros, Milwaukee Badgers, Hammond Pros, and Providence Steam Roller (1920-23, 1925-26).
Became the first black coach in the NFL when he and Elgie Tobin were co-coaches of the Akron Pros for the 1921 season.
