She lost the part to Evelyn Keyes because, even at the young age of 14, she stood taller than Vivien Leigh.
Had a career as a professional model until she retired for marriage to Ricardo Montalban, whom she met through her sister Sally Blane and her director/husband Norman Foster. It seems Montalban was being directed in a Mexican film by Foster and happened to catch Georgiana in her only movie and was smitten.
