Drafted in the first round by the Buffalo Bills in 1983, one of seven quarterbacks selected in the first round that year.
Led the Bills to four consecutive Super Bowl appearances from 1990-1993.
Played college football at the University of Miami and entered the NFL draft in 1982 after his junior season.
Played with the Houston Gamblers of the USFL his first two professional seasons, then joined the Buffalo Bills (who still held the rights to him)in 1986 after the USFL folded.
Is the only player to have his jersey number retired by the Buffalo Bills.
