Mini Biography

Born in an old baroque period town in Switzerland, Kurt grew up in a house of musicians. His parents attended the world-renowned Conservatory of Music in Fribourg. His grandfather was a pianist, his great-grandfather a conductor. Music is in Oldman's genes, part of a heritage he was born into.

Kurt studied at the Conservatory of Music and the Lucerne Swiss Jazz School before moving to California where he studied at UCLA with famed film composers Robert Drasnin (The Wild, Wild West) and Gerald Fried (Star Trek). Kurt debuted his talents for writing Music for the movies by scoring the 120 minute biography drama Endless Escape. In addition to his Film Scoring schedule, he is imparting his experience and knowledge to a new generation of film composers. He regularly teaches as part of the Film Scoring Program at the University of California, Los Angeles.

Kurt presently resides in Burbank, California and works out of his fully equipped home studio.
