With more than 20 years in the business of professional storytelling, Lionell's award-winning creative work is recognized literally around the world. Since 2003, his films have screened collectively in over 40 film festivals in the United States and abroad, and have aired on several broadcast and premium cable channels across the country.
Having served on the production teams of several successful television shows including "The Fresh Prince of Bel Air," "Sister, Sister," "The Bernie Mac Show," "Girlfriends" and others, Lionell is widely recognized as an accomplished and multi-talented Producer and premier comedic Screenwriter.
Winner of the 15th Annual Black Filmmaker Showcase presented by Showtime, his delightful yet controversial film "The Sunday Morning Stripper" stars superstar comedians Bruce Bruce (Who's Your Caddy?), Reynaldo Rey (Harlem Nights) and the incomparable Jenifer Lewis (Meet the Browns).
He is also the Creator/Executive Producer of several television pilots, including "As For Me & My House," which chronicles a blended Houston family coping with the aftermath and effects of Hurricane Katrina. The show received a multi-episodic distribution deal from several U.S. top ten market stations.
A member of Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity, Lionell received his bachelor's degree in radio/television/film production from Sam Houston State University, and his master's degree in producing from the American Film Institute in Los Angeles.

Shares a birthday (October 31st) an alma mater (Sam Houston State University) and a former employer (KHOU-TV) with retired CBS Anchor Dan Rather.
Discretely lived in his Isuzu Trooper during his first year of film school at American Film Institute.
