Best known for her role of Susan on the children's show Sesame Street, Loretta Long has also worked as a schoolteacher and has a Ed.D. in education from the University of Massachusetts. Before joining the Sesame Street cast during its first season in 1969, Ms. Long was in another public TV production called Soul.
