He recently executive produced Caught on Tape, a hip-hop musical, directed by Kirk "Sticky Fingaz" Jones and starring Cedric The Entertainer and Vivica Fox. He was also the co-writer of "Abducted," which was optioned by Dreamworks SKG

While serving as publisher and editorial director of Cinefantastique Magazine, Altman launched and produced several lower budget genre films under the magazine's CFQ Films banner, which he inaugurated, including "All Souls Day: Dia De Los Muertos," starring Marisa Ramirez, Danny Trejo and David Keith, "Room 6" starring Christine Taylor and Jerry O'Connell, "The Darkroom" with Shawn Pyfrom (Desperate Housewives), Reed Diamond (Good Night & Good Luck), Greg Grunberg (Heroes) and Lucy Lawless as well as "The Thirst" starring Jeremy Sisto, Serena Scott Thomas and Adam Baldwin, which had its theatrical world premiere at the Sitges Film Festival in Barcelona, Spain.
