Mini Biography
Marty Thomas has written & directed several documentaries including the award-winning "Monty Roberts: A Real Horse Whisperer" hosted by John Forsythe. Now in television syndication and distributed by Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment. He's also directed national TV Commercials, an Indie Romantic-Comedy Feature & 55+ MTV/BET/VH 1 Music Videos. He received Rolling Stone Magazine's "Breakthrough Video Award", won the Kodak Movie Awards, has been nominated for and/or won the MTV Awards, BET Awards, the Billboard Music Awards' MVA's and has directed a few of the most popular viewer requested videos in MTV history.
Thomas has produced dozens of commercials that include spots for Harley-Davidson, Boeing, Sizzler, McDonald's, several for P & G and Wrigleys to name a few at production companies in LA, NY and Chicago.
He's directed commercials for major record labels and the award-winning national "Wrigley's Winterfresh Breath Strips: Turtle: 30" for BBDO Advertising in Chicago.
Marty Thomas attended 3 years of Film School at Brooks Institute of Photography in Montecito, California, and received his BA Degree in Motion Picture Production. His curriculum included the Institutes' Still Photography program; Advanced Lighting, Portraiture, Advertising, Illustration and Industrial Photography. Thomas went on to UCLA to study the Art & History of Foreign Films. He has been making films non-stop since he was 11 years old.

Trivia
Once sat on Elvis Presley's lap as a child but did not know who he was.
Won the Kodak Teenage Movie Awards when he was 11 years old for his film, "ETC".
Attended Brooks Institute of Photography in Montecito, California, earning BA degree.
Loves doing stand-up comedy but quit because the money was low.
Worked as a AD & PM on more than 60 commercials, dozens of MTV Videos, many TV series including MASH, Star Trek: TNG and several features, then produced commercials for a few years before beginning his directing career in 1991.
Graduate of San Marcos High School, Santa Barbara, CA, Class of 1977, who voted him "Most Likely To Be A Comedian.".
