Meggan Alexann Anderson (born July 31st, 1984 in Honolulu, Hawaii) is an American actress and model. The youngest of three children, Anderson lived most of her childhood life in North Carolina, where her family currently still resides. She graduated early from Tarboro High School in 2001 at the age of 17.
Knowing that small town life was not for her, Anderson moved to southern California in Early 2002, less than a month after she graduated high school. Anderson herself chose not to return to Tarboro, North Carolina for her own High School graduation six months after she moved to California.
As a trained classical flutist, Anderson got both her AA and BA in Flute Performance at Mira Costa College and California State University San Marcos respectively. In 2006, Anderson was scouted out on campus by a representative of Jeff Goodman Management, who represents Actors and Models.
The 5'10" striking redhead landed a runway show both with The Gap and Express. She has graced many award shows such as the BET Awards, Teen Choice Awards and the Daytime Emmy Awards. She also has made appearances on television shows such as CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Las Vegas and several English-made Telenovellas on My Network TV like Fashion House, Watch Over Me and Saints and Sinners. Experienced in comedy Anderson also has made appearances on comedy shows such as MAD TV, Campus Ladies and Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! She has also modeled for such companies such as Von Zipper, Jason, and PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals).
Being a committed animal rights activist and vegan, Anderson has done numerous nation-wide tours and events with PETA, educating people about how animals are used for people's clothing, food, entertainment and experimentation: all of which Anderson is against. In 2007, she was named PETA's Poster girl of being "Too Hot For Leather;" a world-wide contest against the use of leather in clothing.
Meggan is the care-taker of 3 cockatiels, Scooby, Dexter and Birdie. She currently resides in Burbank, California.
