Mini Biography
Composer ("March of the Bob Cats"), guitarist and conductor, a sideman in the orchestras of Ben Pollack (1930-1935) and Bob Crosby (1935-1942). Since 1955, he was a co-leader of a Dixieland band with Ray Bauduc, and toured the Far East in 1955 and 1956. Joining ASCAP in 1958, his other popular-song and instrumental compositions include "My Inspiration", "Loopin' the Loop", "Dixieland Shuffle", and "Swingin' at the Sugar Bowl" among others.
