Mini Biography
Is entering his third season as "The Official National Anthem Singer of the Phoenix Coyotes" of the National Hockey League.
In 1996 performed the national anthem for the very first pre-season and regular-season games the Coyotes ever played in Phoenix, after the team relocated to Arizona from Winnipeg, Canada. After performing for 10-20 games per season for 8 years, in 2005 was named as the Coyotes official anthem singer.
In 2004 competed on "Gimme The Mike!", an "American Idol" type TV show, where he won the Viewer's Choice vote on the Internet for Episode 4. In the Grand Finale of "Gimme The Mike!" he and 11 other finalists performed on live TV from the Dodge Theater in Phoenix., AZ.
Sang Josh Groban's "You Raise Me Up" in the semi-finals and Dobie Gray's version of "Drift Away" in the finals of "Gimme The Mike!".
First marriage in 1997 to ex-wife Carrie ended in divorce after 8 years, no children. They remain friends.
Remarried in 2006 to current wife Christy.
Three step-children and one child from current marriage. Daughter Addisyn, stepsons Tyler and Wyatt, and stepdaughter Aspen.
Raised in Vancouver, Washington where his parents Doug and Jackie still reside, and his sister Janet is a middle school PE teacher.
Began performing publicly at the age of 8 in talent shows and school productions.
Excelled in music and sports at Fort Vancouver High School.
Won the Gold Medal at the state of Washington's High School Solo-Ensemble Music competition in the Tenor vocal division.
Voted to the Washington State Sportswriters All-State Football team as a senior in high school.
Entered college as a Music major, but graduated with a BS degree in Administration - Management from Central Washington University.
On stage played the character Alfredo, the amorous opera singer in a CWU production of Johann Strauss' operetta "Die Fledermaus".
Performs the American and Canadian national anthems regularly for the Phoenix Coyotes, Phoenix Suns, Arizona Cardinals, Arizona Diamondbacks, and Arizona State University athletic activities, as well as national/international conventions and charitable events.
