Co-founder of the Youth International Party (Y.I.P., or "Yippie!") with Abbie Hoffman and Jerry Rubin, and is often credited with coining the group's name. Received an ACLU Uppie (Upton Sinclair) Award in May 2004 for "dedication to freedom of expression".
