Trivia
A prominent figure in the WWF in the mid 80s, he nearly had to retire after a debilitating arm injury, but came back for one final run in WCW in the early 90s.
Has one arm visibly shorter than the other.
Former WCW Tag Team Champion.
Professional wrestler.
In ring career was ended by Arn Anderson and Brian Pillman
Most famous feud was vs. former friend Hulk Hogan in 1986; Orndorff (according to a storyline) was miffed that Hogan was always tending to more important business than their friendship or planned tag team matches. Their feud culminated in a steel cage match in December 1986, which later aired on national television; that match was best known for both wrestlers having left the cage and their feet simultaneously landing on the floor. Even though instant video replays clearly showed Orndorff's feet hit the floor first (and thus, should have won Hogan's WWF World Championship belt), the match was ordered to continue, and "Mr. Wonderful" ultimately lost.
Suffers from bipolar disorder.
From 1996 to 2000, Paul Orndorff worked as a trainer at the WCW Power Plant facility in Altanta, GA. He trained such wrestlers as Goldberg, Sean O'Haire, Mark Jindrak, Mike Sanders, Chuck Palumbo, Midnight and others.
Notable Title Wins Include: North American Title; NWA World Tag Team Titles w/Jimmy Snuka; Mid-South Tag Team Titles w/Terry Orndorff; Southeast Continental Tag Team Titles w/Norvell Austin; National Title; WCW TV Title
Paul was trained by Hiro Matsuda at the same time as Hulk Hogan.
When Paul left the wrestling world for several years, there were rumors circulating that Orndorff had passed away. In reality he was actually running a popular Bowling Ally near Atlanta.
Inducted into the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Hall of Fame in 2005.
