Mini Biography
Phillip Rhys was born the second of three boys in South London. After graduating from Westminster College he spent a year living and working in Paris. He then returned to London to study acting at The Lee Strasberg Institute and later with Jeffrey Tambor and Milton Katselas at The Beverly Hills Playhouse in Los Angeles.
Phillip is credited for his pivotal roles in the Emmy Award winning, series,24 (2001) and in FX's Golden Globe winning "Nip/Tuck" (2003). On _24 (2001) he received a SAG Ensemble Nomination for his portrayal of a young businessman named Reza Naiyeer who was to be married to Marie Warner, played by 'Laura Harris'. On "Nip/Tuck" (2003) Rhys played Jude Sawyer, a medical student who became infatuated with Julia McNamara,(Joely Richardson. Prior to these projects, Rhys spent nine months in Shanghai, China shooting "Flatland" (2002) with Dennis Hopper and produced by Academy Award Winner Al Ruddy ("Million Dollar Baby" and "The Godfather"). "Flatland" was the first US Television show to be shot entirely in Mainland China. Other credits include: Rodrigo García's Fathers and Sons (2005) (TV) with Ron Eldard, the war drama "Woundings" with Ray Winstone and'Guy Pearce (I)' and the Sundance Film Festival entry Kill the Man (1999) with Luke Wilson. To younger audiences Phillip is best-known for his portrayal of Proto Zoa in the "Zenon" Disney movies.
Upcoming projects include Salomaybe? (2008) directed by and starring Academy Award Winner Al Pacino.
Rhys has also been involved in various after school and non-profit organizations over the years, including volunteering for E.S.L. Educational Programs for Adults.

His grandmother, Janine Klotza, was one of France's Prima Ballerina's in the 1920s, performing all the major ballets in pre WWII Europe, except Gisele, after whom she named her only daughter, Phillip's mother.
Went to the same Primary school as Julia and Nadia Sawalha, All Saint's C of E School in Upper Norwood, albeit some 3 years after them.
First fame was as a model for a Woolworths catalogue, aged 10.
He grew up with Kate Moss.
