Norbord
Inc. (Norbord) is an
international producer of wood-based panels, with 16 plant
locations in the
United States, Europe and
Canada. The Company's business comprises the manufacturing,
marketing and
sales of panelboards and related
products. Norbord’s panel products include oriented
strand board (OSB), medium
density fibreboard (MDF), hardwood plywood and particle board. Norbord’s OSB and particleboard panels are
used primarily in the construction
sector and its MDF and hardwood plywood panels serve the
furniture and fixtures
markets. As of December 31, 2006, the Company's operations included 11 OSB
mills, three particleboard plants, two MDF plants,
one hardwood plywood mill, one I-joist mill, two laminating operations and a furniture plant.
