New York-bred Rosemarie DeWitt may be most familiar to the television audiences for her multiple episode guest appearances on the critically acclaimed series "Rescue Me." Her additional television credits include roles on "Love Monkey," "Law & Order: SVU," "Sex and the City," "Queens Supreme" and "Wonderland."
DeWitt is featured in the upcoming film "Margaret" opposite Anna Paquin and Mark Ruffalo. Additional upcoming films include "Purple Violets," "Off the Black," "Shut Up and Sing," "The Great New Wonderful" and "Blackbird." She also appeared in the feature "Cinderella Man," which is based on her real-life grandfather, fighter James Braddock.
DeWitt studied at The Actors Center and has an extensive theater background, consisting of numerous off-Broadway plays. Most notably, she starred in "Danny and the Deep Blue Sea" at Second Stage; "The Butter and Eggman" at the Atlantic Theater; and Craig Lucas' "Small Tragedy," for which she, along with the cast, won an Obie Award.
