Gained notoriety as head of the Chicago family of the Mafia.
Father of novelist/writer Antoinette Giancana.
His relationship with Phyllis McGuire was the basis of the HBO movie Sugartime (1995) (TV). His other paramours included Judith Campbell Exner whom acted as a go-between for Giancana and John F. Kennedy.
