Mini Biography

Standing out than the rest, Ultimate Warrior became one of the most popular wrestlers in the WWE (back then in the WWF). During his run from the 1980s-90s, warrior became known for high high energy when running down to the ring with his music hits, shaking the ropes during his entrance, his signature move, the Gorilla Press Drop and the Big Splash, which seems that Warrior would be One the only non-heavyset built wrestler to use it.

Before reaching high status to become a main eventer in the WWE, Warrior became popular when he became a two-time Intercontinental Champion by defeating the Honky Tonk Man (Roy Farris) (within 32 seconds at the first ever Summerslam in 1988) and Ravishing Rick Rude.

Warrior is now retired.

Won a 3 year long lawsuit vs. WWF/Titan Sports/Vince McMahon in 2000 regarding the use of his names "The Warrior" and "Ultimate warrior". This particular dispute is why he felt the necessity to legally change his Name to "Warrior". He legally changed his name to warrior in 1993 also the lawsuit lasted for 5 years. The name change happened before the lawsuit even happened and the Warrior wasn't even with Titan/WWE at the time. He changed his name because he wanted to get back into wrestling and as his father had died, and he didn't want to carry on his fathers legacy (having fallen out with him many years before). the lawsuit was settled in 2001 (information courtesy of ringside collectibles shoot interview).

Was a tag team partner with Steve "Sting" Borden from 1984 to 1986 as the Bladerunners. Warrior was then known as "Rock", Borden was called "Flash". Competed in World Class Championship Wrestling (home of the legendary Von Erich clan) under the Name "The Dingo warrior".

Was stripped of the WWF Intercontinental Championship after he won the WWF Championship at 'Wrestlemania VI'

one of the longest-running pro wrestling myths states that Jim Hellwig is actually the second wrestler to portray the Ultimate Warrior, as the original died of steriod use in the 80s. Evidence used to support this myth is that the "second warrior" had lighter hair, and was bulkier in physique. However, this is just One of many pro wrestling myths with little factual basis. Hellwig is the only wrestler to portay the Ultimate Warrior in any form.

Once while performing in El Paso, Texas, visited a well-known strip club called "Prince Machiavelli's." The manager offered him a job as the head bouncer in the event that his wrestling career didn't work out.
