Allvoices Community

Allvoices is a new media company where anyone can report and share news and
opinion from anywhere in the world. The site let’s a diverse community share news,
videos, images and opinion tied to news events. It is the first community that weaves
together traditional news, blogs, online resources and anyone who wants to share their
voice.
Allvoices is about diversity of opinion and news reporting, we believe that everyone
has a bias, traditional media and news sources have a bias and individuals have a bias
too. Allvoices believes that where you are tells a lot about your news and report (for
example if you are in Iraq you have a different perspective versus if you are, in
America). Allvoices let’s any one report, then aggregates related voices with multiple
perspective from traditional news source, blogs, videos and images and let’s anyone in
the global community add their perspective ( comment, text, video, image).
Founded in April of 2007, allvoices was started by people who believe that
everyone has a story worth telling and reporting, sharing that story is the first step in
changing lives. Allvoices redefines the voice of the people through the global
community for sharing current news events and issues from multiple points of view,
providing and emotional connection to each other’s perspectives.
Allvoices is a global people powered media company that uses the newest web2.0
tools for creating news reports, uploading images and videos from a Computer or a
cell phone. It provides the next generation platform for Journalism reporting. A turnkey
solution for multimedia reporting, text, video and images & discussion.
We want your students to start reporting on allvoices and to use the site to help
build and train for their future careers in Journalism. The students will have a profile
page that lists all their reporting and contribution on the allvoices site. They can use
there profile page as folio for showcasing their reporting and helping with future job
search. They will develop a readership and fans on the site. Their reports and
contribution will have a global exposure and potential re-distribution to other
traditional media. There is also a potential for revenue share in the future as allvoices
becomes profitable.
We need your help in building allvoices as a true global people’s media company
around news and events. We do not edit any of the user submission and reports.
