Death was an influential American death metal band founded in 1983 and dissolved in 1999. Chuck Schuldiner, guitar/vocals, is widely credited as one of the pioneers of the death metal genre. The band\'s debut Scream Bloody Gore is considered a genre template. Schuldiner was the only member to remain in the band from start to end.
