Forssa Community

Forssa City grew around the textile industry. Along with that, since the 1970’s the biggest employers
of Forssa have been the construction products, food and printing industries. In the 21st century
Forssa is also known for innovations in the electronics industry and for sound expertise in the field of environment.
The city’s industry is supported by education in teleinformatics at the Forssa Unit of Häme
Polytechnics University along with its concentration of professional know-how and training and
research factories. It also includes educational lines for health care, logistics and tourism. Other
educational establishments here are the Vocational Institute of Forssa and the Adult Training Centre.
