Hope Mission Christian Ministries, Inc. is a non-profit Christian ministry which seeks to serve disadvantaged persons of Carteret County. Through ministries of food, compassion, emergency finances, prayer, and other means of support, our volunteers seek to assist with human need. Our volunteers come largely from churches throughout the county.

SOUP KITCHEN MINISTRY
Our soup kitchen is operated six days a week (M-S) at 1410 Bridges St., Morehead City, from 11:00 AM to 12:45 PM. An average of 83 free hot lunches are served daily by volunteers to any who need and desire a meal.
OUTREACH MINISTRY
Our outreach ministry provides emergency financial aid to those it can serve through the paying of bills which threaten to leave persons without electricity, fuel, rent, and other such essentials. Our Caregivers seek to give counsel as well as assistance. This ministry operates each Monday and Wednesday from 1:30 until at Hope Mission.
SHELTER MINISTRY
We are a men's shelter and can accommodate a census of 10-15 persons nightly. During the day, guests are given assignments including but not limited to the following: volunteering at the mission, attending treatment, securing social security cards, securing other identification, following up on job opportunities, visiting the community college, searching for housing and visiting the Employment Security Commission. Guests are taught life skills and are encouraged to participate in Bible study during the week and attend the church of their choice on Sunday. We always need volunteers and provide volunteer training for those interested in volunteering.
