Polaroid also makes consumer electronics, such as plasma TVs, portable DVD players, and compact refrigerators. To cut costs, the firm has shifted away from manufacturing products and diversifying its product line.

Its products are sold in supermarkets and specialty stores like Circuit City, by discounters such as Wal-Mart, and through the Polaroid Web site.
