Sofia vergara came from a middle class family. She was nicknamed “La Toti” by her brothers, sisters and cousins. She spent most of her childhood on her father’s farm, there she used to spend her time swimming in the river and riding horse. Sofia was sent to a private bilingual ( english/spanish) school , this is where she became perfect in english which has helped her a lot throughout her career. In brief, she enjoyed her childhood to the fullest.



Sofia vergara fall in love when she was only 14 years old Which led to her marriage at the age of 18. she gave birth to her son manolo in 1992. Till this time everthing was going fine in her life but then it took a twist and she had to divorce her husband in 1993.

Safia vergara’s real talent was discovered by a photographer when she was walking on a columbinan beach. She gave her first appearance to the glamour world in pepsi advertisement which was telecasted all over america, at this time she was only 17. This fame filled her up with lots of attractive offers. Although sofia studied dentistry for 3 years but she couldn’t keep her far from this alluring glamourous world.

Sofia vergara’s career took a big leap when she got the host offer of Fuera de Serie. For this serial she went to all exotic places all over the world. This serial was aired for 4 years on the international Univision Spanish-language network which made her a big star in Latin America.

Sofia vergara invited the new millenium in 2000 with her swimsuit calender which came up with the top selling calender at that time. After univision her career kept on rising, she joined hand with ABC and after that sofia entered into hollywood movies.

Apart from glamour world, Sofia Vergara has been involved in lots of philanthropy work. She runs a non-profit organization “peace and hope for the children of columbia” which was established in 2001. she even donated all the revenue of her calender sell to build a pediatric cancer pavilion in hospital Nino de Jesus which gives cancer treatement to underprivileged children. Sofia is even sponsoring 100% free education and health program to 600 children in her native place Barranquilla.

Sofia Vergara was awared with “Woman of the year award” in 2000 by Nobel peace prize winner Rigobeta Menchu for her contribution in inspring youn latinas. In 2002 , she won the award of “Woman of hope” for being a role model to latin people.

Till now Sofia Vergara has dated with Enrique Iglesias and Latin superstar Luis Miguel.
